Hayley & Brett had a beautiful wedding at one of my favorite venues where I have planned and coordinated many weddings, Martin Johnson House in La Jolla. It’s right on the ocean and has one of my favorite views in San Diego! The plum and navy color palette was a gorgeous complement to the natural landscape. Check out their spring wedding day and more details below!

Hayley’s grandmother couldn’t be present, so she attended the wedding via FaceTime! Hayley had her on the iPad while she was getting ready, and even had a corsage sent to her so she felt like a part of the big day. How sweet is that?!

Brett was one of the most relaxed grooms I’ve met! And he had great groom style in his navy blue suit.

Hayley & Brett made time for a first look together before the ceremony. They were able to enjoy their cocktail hour with their guests and didn’t have to rush through portraits.

What a gorgeous mix of light and bold hues in this bridal bouquet!

The bridesmaids had a mini version of the bride’s bouquet.

Instead of an arch or arbor, these tall vases complemented the ocean view backdrop of the ceremony.

Guests dined on the deck at these gorgeous farm tables and benches by Farm Tables & More.

Different styles of flower arrangements in the same color palette and candles adorned the long farm tables.

One of my favorite parts of the wedding were these personalized notes on the place settings. Hayley and Brett wrote each guest a little note to open when they sat down for dinner. So thoughtful!

They even wrote notes for each other to open!

Amanda & Wences are one of the cutest WED couples and we had so much fun at their Leo Carrillo Ranch wedding! These two high school sweethearts got married on their 11 year anniversary. Doesn’t get much cuter than that! These San Diego natives were living in Chicago before the wedding, so I first met Amanda over Skype to chat about all the details. Amanda and Wences brought their fabulous photographer, Ashley Biess of Artistrie Co., to San Diego for their big day. I am oh-so-glad they did because she was a dream to work with…just look at these photos (heart eyes!). This wedding was a blast because of the laid-back, family barbeque vibe. The couple focused on what was really important to them: spending the day celebrating with family & friends and eating good food! SOHO taco cooked up fresh tacos, guests grabbed their own drinks or visited the bartender, the Mobile Photo Booth was full, the lawn was busy with Jenga and Cornhole games, and the dance floor was rockin’! (The venue’s peacocks even came by to check things out!) I highly recommend Leo Carrillo Ranch if you’re looking for an outdoor San Diego wedding venue. Check out the highlights from the wedding day, and the press it received on Ruffled Blog & San Diego Style Weddings (also in print)!

Carissa & Greg were friends in high school, then reconnected years later via Facebook. They had a gorgeous, romantic, ethereal wedding in La Jolla at Martin Johnson House. This gem of a venue is tucked away on the Scripps Institute of Oceanography campus. It’s one of our favorites! Check out some highlights from their big day below and make sure you spend some time gazing at Carissa’s gorgeous wedding dress with pink accents…and their adorable flower dog!

Looking for a unique twist to your ceremony? Try wine blending or hand tying. C&G also wrote their own vows.

Modern Bouquet created this breathtaking floral arch! It’s one of our favorites to date!
